Twin Cities Ballet of Minnesota

Welcome!  Twin Cities Ballet of Minnesota ("TCB") is an innovative ballet company that creates high-quality, professional performances and meaningful educational opportunities for audiences and participants alike.

TCB is an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit dance company that augments its core company of professional dancers and apprentices with dancers from other local and national professional dance companies, and area dance schools. TCB creates, produces, and performs original professional productions, and is the resident dance company of the 1000-seat professional theater, Ames Center (Formerly Burnsville Performing Arts Center).

TCB strives to introduce the artistry, discipline and athleticism of ballet and other dance forms to Minnesota communities, through performances, educational and interactive programs, Scholarship Awards, and collaborative artistic events. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and driven by the energy and efforts of dedicated parents, students, volunteers and community sponsors, TCB continues to develop a variety of community outreach initiatives, including working with other arts organizations and schools, and to offer both its participants and audiences the opportunity to experience the enriching world of dance.

Its inaugural performance, the original, highly acclaimed full-length production of Denise Vogt's "The Nutcracker" ballet, was presented to full houses in December 2003. TCB has performed its flagship performance of The Nutcracker annually since its inception, seen by thousands of audience members each year. TCB also awards annual Scholarships to eligible students, hosted an annual Summer Dance Festival for many years, and conducts outreach and educational seminars and demonstrations in area schools.

TCB's official school, rehearsal and administrative home is at the state-of-the-art facilities of Ballet Royale Minnesota, the first and only dedicated classical ballet academy in the Twin Cities south of the Minnesota River, located on the border of Lakeville and Burnsville, in the heart of the Minneapolis/St. Paul south metro area.
